Why do you want to join?

I run a small paid community and want sharper operator feedback.

Relevant experience

Built two Telegram groups, one paid, one invite-only.

Good fit

Clear intent, relevant background, agrees to group rules.

Why it exists

Telegram makes it easy to join a group. That is the problem.

If your community is paid, private, or valuable, an open door is a liability. You do not need more members. You need the right ones.

Spam accounts and low-intent members slip through.

Manual DM screening gets inconsistent fast.

Reusable invite links leak, forward, and linger.

How it works

A real front door for your group.

01

Connect your bot

Create a bot in BotFather, then connect it to Gatekeepah. The bot your applicants talk to is yours.

02

Build your qualification flow

Ask questions that matter. Use the answers to decide who is a good fit.

03

Applicants apply through Telegram

People open your bot link, answer questions, and land in a clear review queue.

04

Review inside Telegram

Moderators see each applicant in your Telegram moderator group and decide without babysitting a dashboard.

05

Approve with one-use invites

Approved applicants get one invite that expires in 24 hours. Rejected applicants get a clean decline.

Benefits

Better members start with better questions.

Better members, fewer headaches

Stop screening strangers in DMs at midnight. Applications arrive structured, with what you need to decide.

Higher signal inside the group

When everyone passed the same bar, conversations get sharper and low-intent members stay outside.

Less work for moderators

Your team reviews applicants where they already work: Telegram. No second tool for day-to-day decisions.

Protection for paid communities

If people pay for access, the room has to be worth it. Qualification helps protect that value.

Safer invites

Fresh one-use links expire in 24 hours, so forwarded invites do not become permanent back doors.

Clear review standards

Your flow becomes the standard. Anyone on your team can tell who is a good fit.

Feature set

Built for communities that actually screen people.

Gatekeepah keeps setup in a dashboard and daily moderation in Telegram, where your team already is.

Custom qualification flows

Write your own questions. Set your own bar. Give moderators a clear way to decide who fits.

Telegram-native moderator review

Applications land in your Telegram moderator group. Approve or reject without leaving Telegram.

One-use 24h invite links

Every approved applicant gets a fresh single-use invite that expires after 24 hours.

Use your own Telegram bot

Create a bot in BotFather, then connect it to Gatekeepah. Your bot, your brand, your community.

Gatekeepah finds your groups

Add the bot to your group and your moderator group. Gatekeepah picks them up automatically.

Privacy-conscious media handling

If your flow asks for a photo, Gatekeepah keeps it in Telegram instead of storing image files itself.

Use cases

Useful anywhere access needs a standard.

Paid communities

You charge for access. Make sure the people getting in match what you sold.

Creator groups

Your audience is large. Your inner circle should not be. Qualify people who belong in the room.

Coaching cohorts

Pre-qualify clients before they enter the cohort group. Catch fit issues early.

Private alpha groups

Trading, investing, research, beta access. High-trust groups need a real front door.

Local and niche communities

City groups, industry circles, hobby communities. Keep conversation tight and members relevant.

Objections

Join questions are not a review system.

How is this different from Telegram join questions?

Telegram join questions collect answers. Gatekeepah runs admissions: screen applicants before they enter, review every request in Telegram, keep an application record, and send expiring one-use invites only after approval.

Why not just DM everyone?

You can, until you cannot. DM screening gets noisy, inconsistent, and hard to share across moderators.

Will this work with my own bot?

Yes. Create a bot in BotFather, connect it to Gatekeepah, and keep the applicant experience under your bot.

Do moderators need a new app?

No. Moderators review applicants inside your Telegram moderator group. The dashboard is for setup.

Pricing

Small communities should not pay enterprise tax.

Free setup, free flow builder, and a lifetime free approval cap. Paid plans reset approval limits each year.

FAQ

The basics before you connect a bot.

Do I need a Telegram bot already?

No. Create one in BotFather in a couple of seconds, then connect it to Gatekeepah.

Does Gatekeepah replace my Telegram group?

No. Your group stays where it is. Gatekeepah sits in front of it as the qualification layer.

Does my group need to be a supergroup?

Most private Telegram groups with admins and invite links are fine. If Telegram asks you to upgrade the group, Gatekeepah will tell you during setup.

Do I need Telegram Premium?

No. You do not need Telegram Premium to run Gatekeepah or review applicants.

Where do moderators review applicants?

Inside Telegram, in a moderator group you choose. Approve or reject without switching tools.

What kind of questions can I ask?

Ask whatever helps you decide: background, intent, experience, fit, or what applicants want from the group.

How do invites work after approval?

Each approved applicant gets a one-use invite link that expires after 24 hours.

What happens to rejected applicants?

They get a clean decline through your bot. They do not get an invite link.

What about photos in a flow?

If you ask for a photo, it stays in Telegram. Gatekeepah does not store image files or do biometric checking.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Connect a bot and build your first qualification flow before paying for anything.
